Today, hundreds of our patented self-priming siphons have been installed in reed bed filter wastewater treatment plants in France, and our siphons have been exported to other countries (Great Britain, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Spain, Morocco, Kosovo and as far away as India) as reed bed filters have developed in these countries.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the big difference between the weight needed to sink the siphon when the flotation chamber is full and the weight needed to float it when the flotation chamber is empty, the operation of our siphons is extremely reliable, since they work even when the weight of the siphons is altered, for example in case of grease clinging to the floating chamber.<\/p>\n<p>As opposed to other flushing systems, a siphon sucks water upstream and feeds the downstream system with a relatively constant flow rate, allowing the maintenance of a self-cleaning velocity in the pipes, even at the end of the cycle.<\/p>\n<p>The absence of linkages, valves and small diameter pipes guarantees the exclusion of failures due to corrosion or blockage by coarse elements.<\/p>\n<p>The fact that they are made of HDPE, a noble material since it is composed solely of carbon and hydrogen, recyclable and robust (our siphons are guaranteed for 3 years &#8211; excluding the flexible connexion pipes), gives them a much lower weight and carbon footprint than a stainless steel construction.<\/p>\n<p>In order to guarantee the proper functioning of our siphons, a hydraulic simulation, taking into account the configuration of the downstream pipes (diameter, length, altimetry) is necessary.
